"...imaginative, endearing, and down right intriguing... P.G. creates such strong characters... a talented writer... " Jill Marie, Book Blog Reviewer.
Writing has been my life since I learned to hold a pencil. Poetry was always a favorite while I was younger, then I started writing short stories, leading up to novels. I love writing and fully enjoy becoming my characters and living through their experiences. Sometimes I think I would rather write than breathe, It's very difficult for me to quit writing, though many times I've sworn off of it, only to open a book file the next day and start writing! I guess you could say writing is my drug of choice.
Animals play a part in most of my books, especially those for young readers. My preferences are dogs and horses.
I love to give back! I've founded a program called the Young Scholars' Contest that is linked to my trilogy, but that program has grown into another-- ALIVEducation, which will benefit authors of books for ages 5-17, children age 5-17, and teachers who work with them daily. The program is in the process of becoming a reality. It is a non-profit program, and most of the membership fees are turned into scholarships for classrooms and help pay for the use of the software, website, and fees associated with its creation. If you've written a book for an age group at that level, read my article Being a Children's Book Author in Today's Market, or send me an email.
