I have worked professionally in the art field for over 30 years, including a short stint in comic books.  I was lucky enough to work with some of my favorite comic book creators: including Richard Pini of the Elfquest series and Barry Blair and Colin (Chan) Walbridge of the Elflord series, Dark Island, Sapphire, and Sno.

My writing has been published in The Akron Beacon Journal and in Pet Planet Magazine. I am a freelance writer for the Cleveland Examiner, Contributing Editor of Pet Pardons Media and I author the blog, Up On The Woof.

My first solo book-length writing effort, Born Without a Tail, was published in 2007, and is a non-fiction account of my life with animals, including twenty years of pet rescue.

My second book, Circling the Waggins: How 5 Misfit Dogs Saved Me from Bewilderness was published by Barking Planet Productions in July 2012. It is a true-life memoir of two particularly grueling years of unexpected pet adventures, unflinching in its honest portrayal of the heartache and joy of sharing your life with beloved pets.

I continue to paint and sell my yelodoggie series of watercolors.
