Here is something I shared on "Goodreads" that I thought authors could identify with.
Actually, this is not intended to be a story,umm, maybe it is a very short story. All authors can agree with this urge to write that is totally inexplainable. You just have to feel it, to know it. As I was taking my evening three mile walk which I try to do at least three times a week. Since I am no longer 25 and have no need to be "ripped" anymore that's usually enough exercise for me,at my age. Don't ask. Anyway, as I thought of the fact since this site is a site primarily for authors who know "the feeling"
of wanting to write, they would possibly identify with this poem I wrote back in 2003 and submitted it to then "Poetry.com" which has since phased out into another company. Well, back to my premise, that we as authors, writing in whatever genre we felt the impulse to write about, we all have felt something that most people are not familiar with,except us,smile. When I wrote the poem, I know, by now you are saying, get to the point!. Okay, when I was feeling this "The Urge to Write", and it was getting stronger, I wrote the following poem.
