Perseverance is the key to meeting ones goals, and life is what you make it!
Easy to say, hard to follow! Patience is something we can all use more of, and making
life uphill instead of down is tricky at best, but worth it. Follow your dreams, follow
your heart and by all means make use of that imagination. Love to all.
I'll bet you all get tired of reading the same old thing in a bio. Went to this school, married my soulmate, had 2 .1 children, and live in a wonderful home in yada, yada, yada. Well, I tried to be truthful in my bio. But you have to understand, I'm human. I make mistakes just like the next person.
If you've read about me, you've already come to the conclusion that I was a born stretching the truth a little. I've done it so many times I can't remember what the truth was. But honestly folks.....
On a more serious note, writing is a freedom I don't take lightly. And I hope I never will. Perhaps that's why I'm e-published instead of New York published. I don't want to be dictated to. I don't want someone telling me that you don't want to read about a singer, or a politician.Although right row, who wants to read more about politicians? I want the freedom to pick and chose my characters, and subject matter. I want the freedom to write as my heart dictates. I love being an American. Knowing I can write and get it published, my way. E-publishing allows this freedom to continue for writers.
Did you realize that about half the things written are formulated for you. Ah...come on now, you think I'm lying? I'm not. It's the truth. People are constantly taking polls on what you think, how you eat, what you dress in, and they know as much about you as your friends.....
You see all those surveyors at the malls, what do you think they do with all that info? They're trying to read you like a book. You are a statistic. So am I. Think about that, is that what you want to be?
I don't happen to think writers are normal in many ways. I think we are a little wacky in some ways. Okay, maybe a lot of ways.
We are perpetual hermits, that live in fantasy worlds most of the time. Or perhaps we merely escape to our fantasy world more often than not.
Come on, we work in our pj's, drink way too much coffee, nibble most of the time, and spend a lot of time carrying on conversations with fictional people. But of course you have to realize, they aren't fictional to us. When we write, we live thier lives.
The discovery of TV and movies influenced my thinking from day one. Unless you are my age or older you can't imagine the impact that television had on people when it first came out. Well, maybe you can, it's like the addiction you have with solitare on the computer! I was in love with the silver screen, and who knew I was soaking up ideas and stories at such a young age.
As I realized that others had written scripts for TV and movies I decided I could write them myself, with my own outcomes. As a young girl, biographical books about real people spun my imagination.
Not my cup of tea!
Writing takes a lot out of me, because while I'm doing it, I live it with my characters. Creative writing in high school taught me that originality is a must in writing.
My father was a storyteller and I suppose I took off on that. When he would put to words a picture of a person I could see that person in my mind. I began to develop a keen eye for people and my new hobby began as a people watcher. Fascinating material. I began to notice how people walked, talked, gestured, even ate.
I still do.
If you'll remember, I wrote I'm no different than you, well, than some of you at least, I lost my dear husband and soul mate not long ago, and now I find I have trouble writing my romances as easily as I did. So I ask for your prayers that I can go on and write again, maybe even better, because to hurt means ones feels emotions and romance is full of emotions.
I am still a mother, and a grandmother. I still spend a lot of my time with my grandchildren. I run them here and there, we do things together.
I've joined the ranks of the retired. And I personally love it. I've only slept late twice, and that's because the nights before I stayed up till 3 in the morning getting a manuscript out.
I have endeavored to write children's plays for schools and you can find them up at ScriptsforSchools.com. These are morally based short plays for school children. I'm also making a mid-grade book with poetry and short stories. This is in the works and I hope will be available soon.
I'm currently working on the last of the Travers brothers series, two western romances, and more children's books.
I'm a pretty big family person, and most of my books reflect this kind of life. I had so much fun creating the Travers Brothers series I'm thinking of starting another series.
Retrack that, I'm already writing a sequel to Heart of the Wild.
One of the questions I get all the time, is...Why do you write Romance. And they ask that question, like, get real, why would anyone want to write that stuff? My reasoning for it is this....I love romance. It makes my day. So sue me. Spreading love never hurt anyone, that I know of. I find it odd that so many people turn their noses up at Romance, when that is the very element in life that sustains us.Love is what keeps this world turning. Think about this...what would it be like if you loved no one on this whole earth? If no one loved you? So spread the love, everyone, I promise it won't hurt.
I love sending my readers bookmarks, keychains, and magnets. So if you haven't gotten yours drop me an e-mail.
I hope you try and enjoy some of my books, and that you'll drop me a line every now and then. I so enjoy hearing from readers.
Love and blessings

Heart of the Wild, Chief Cook & Bottle Washer, Willy's Valentine...coming soon
here will be all my other books.
Additional information
Chief Cook & Bottle Washer is a series about four Texas brothers (yes, I'm a Texan). The second in the series is Courting Abby, and I've completed the third, Hannah's Man and it's now out in print. This is quite a special set of books to me, and I can't wait to see if you (the readers out there like it) I'm now working on the last of the series, Along Came Love. Jake Travers is going to be a little different than what you might expect, and I hope I don't disappoint anyone.
Nick's Baby has been re-released and is climbing the charts over at Fictionwise as we speak. It is also in print at Publish America, but I can't apologize enough for the price increase, not my doing, blame the publisher for that one.
Also don't miss the release of Wandering Heart, Pretend Mom, Suspicions of the Heart, or Strictly Busines all coming soon from Writer's Exchange. My newest completed romance is, Runaway Bride, I hope you catch this one.It has a little bit different take than most of my books.
There's also several books in the Willy series coming out from Writer's Exchange.
I've got lots of works in progress and I hope you will check them all out and let me know what you thought of each and every one of them.
I'd like to thank all my faithful readers and hope I never disappoint you with a book!
Last tidbit of info: Hannah's Man is out in print, Pretend Mom is coming out very shortly.
