My Father, Lewis N Bohnne was instrumental in shaping both my life and my love of reading and the penned word. 60% disabled during WWII, he juggled 3 professions and always always sought for the stars. My Grandmere Josefina also had a huge impact on me. As a young girl, she fled Franco's Spain and emigrated alone to San Francisco. There she established several businesses on her own, and one by one brought relatives out to safety. She was a woman of passion and conviction.
Writing is both pain and joy to me. Through my writing, all the love, fear, anger and longing we feel comes out. Touching other lives, making a difference, or simply helping someone look at things in a new way is a huge motivation to keep trying.
If my words touch even one life and bring a smile to someones day, then I am rich indeed.
