Additional Information

I just got Dr. John M. Domino's new book "REFLECTIONS From The Great Depression And WW II" and it is a wonderful tapestry of unusual events of that era in time." It came yesterday in the mail, and I was impressed right away. This one proves you can judge a book by its cover...because the cover on this 8.5" x 11" book is very impressive- graced with a picture of a military man saluting against the backdrop of a flag! And the print is easy to read, especially for us older folks. My parents were playing cards and I read much of the book to them, and dad and mom had a wonderful time remembering those years! Just a GREAT time! I can see how this book can bring families closer together. It's entertaining... and I heard many things I never heard anywhere else about this time period! What an enjoyable and entertaining read! When I woke up this morning, I was inspired by some dreams I had last night, to write my newest poem "When We Were Young Back Then". So, thanks John for the inspirational book! Love, from a fellow human & poet, ~ Zach

"I just got my copy the other day and began almost immediately to dive into its many interesting pages." "It is more than you let on, in your Bio page." "Your book reminds of the spirit of a little book called, "The Magic of Thinking Big," by David Schwartz. It was a book that changed my life. The Bible was the first of course!" In his book Schwartz related an anecdote about his young son when he asked him, "What do you want to be when you grow-up." "Dr. Domino, Your book, "Mentoring To-Go," brought back memories of that enjoyable time of self-discovery, and youthful idealism, when I set sail for the seven seas of life. Can't Wait To Go Back To Prison
An excellent book and "A must for anyone curious about prison ministry." September 6, 2005 Reviewer: Bridget R - ***** Five Stars "Straight from the introduction, I was excited about this book. Every word is brimming with the joy these people share for the prison ministry." "The organization of the book is ideal. It takes its testimony straight from the people who experience it, ministering to these hardened people." "To describe the Kairos prison ministry, the author uses the words of many of the team members "from the outside". In this way the reader gets a full understanding from many perspectives." "Part 1 takes a deep look into the life of an incredible man, Lester Lemke. He shares his life experiences and reflects on his involvement with prison ministry." "Part II focuses on some of his friends and a look into their thoughts and experiences in the minsitry as well." " By seeing so many points of view about the work of Kairos, it really is like a mosaic put together from many beautiful pieces." "Part III describes feedback from the impact of Kairos teams all over the world." "This is a perfect book for anyone curious about prison ministries. The spirit-filled words of these people will melt any hard feelings felt towards our Christian brothers and sisters on the other side. It will stir your spirit to some form of action, whether it be a call to ministry or a change of heart." "Every day reading "Can't Wait to Go" I was filled with inspiration, love and compassion. It reminded me of ALL my brothers and sisters, not just the ones I chose to see." "I was filled with the same fiery spirit that fills God's children who go into battle as one team member put it, in Satan's realm. It was also a constant reminder of Mathew 25:36 "I was in prison and you came to visit me". "Reading about these victories behind the wall filled me with incredible joy." Other Reviews for " Can't Wait To Go Back To Prison: A Prison Ministry Experience " Date Reviewer Review 1/30/2010 Gerald Tate: "Takes a very exceptional person to go where they are probably most needed, yet expose themselves to the dangers that go with it." * * * * * "Well done," Gerry 10/6/2009 Zach McClure: "This book sounds like it would help me learn about a ministry I have never been part of but have been feeling the tug of God on my heart for. I'm going to get a copy to read and some to pass out." 9/13/2008 Linda Hill John: "I will pray for great success for your most interesting book about prison ministry. I've always been interested in prisons and how much the men and woman there need God in their lives. If I wasn't on a fixed income I would buy one, and being personally signed by you would be an added bonus. My husband lost his job 3 years ago, the plant closed down he'd work at for 25 years. For health reasons he hasn't been able to find work. I am on disability so thank God we do have one check coming in. God is good, He's always provided for us. My husband got saved a year ago and with both of us attending church together its been a great blessing to me. I have grown a lot in my faith this past year because church is such an important part of my life. I'm a choir member and we go to different nursing homes and sing, I get a great blessing from that, Michael. Keep writing and putting God's word out there for all to see. God bless you always." Many blessings, ~Linda 7/10/2008 MaryGrace Patterson: "The book sounds like it will be an inspiration to many. I hope it will sell well and you can promote it. Its great to give incite of those behind the wall... God Bless you".....M

Reflections From The Great Depression and WWII
This book is a great gift for Christmas for anyone over twelve. It's a "Believe It or NOT" History book filled with funny and heartwarming facts about the lives of our parents and grandparents. Additionally, it's a tribute to our WWII Veterans and “The Greatest Generation” in World History. Woven within its contents is a collection of little known fascinating facts about that period of time. These facts are intertwined together with the interviews to form a surprise package full of new and fresh historical information. That is why it is very exciting and gratifying to present this information to readers both young and old, and from all walks of life. This book was created to be an “Armchair Book”. It’s perfect for a grandpa, a grandma, mom or dad to read with members of the younger generation. After all, today’s youth may have many questions about a time when most folks had a lot less material possessions. Yet even with less, many seemed happy back then during a time when life was much simpler! NOTE All proceeds from this book go to the Disabled American Veterans
