Just- Asia is moved by her late Grandmother and her daughter. She addresses both the struggles and achievements of African Americans. Just – Asia is long time lover of Poetry and non fiction books and also history. Just-Asia started writing poetry in her early years of elementary school. She enjoyed writing for the Newspaper staff and Yearbook Club in High School.
Some of her favorite writers are that of Maya Angelou, Sonia Sanchez, Terry McMillian, Alice Walker and many more.
Just-Asia has appeared at many open mic sessions such as Caravan Books, Teaism and Border Books. She was featured in Metro Connection which revealed some of her favorite poems. One of which “Whisper Of the Earth The Blackwoman”.
In addition to her forth coming book entitled: “My Destiny”, she is working on other projects such as a series of Children’s books. Just-Asia goals are to continue her publications and open her own lounge which will consist of food words in music and poetry.
