TRISH’S PROFILE – About Trish
Born in 1957 and a Scorpio, Trish is a fairly determined person who works as hard as she plays. For the past 25 years, Trish has run her own business and enjoyed the challenge of meeting the day to day deadlines. In 1985, Trish opened a desktop publishing/graphics arts business and has been doing much the same thing since, although over the years it has revolved into an internet writing service, freelance and ghostwriting, as well as an electronic publishing business.
Her business, Patricia A. MacQueen, runs through a building often referred to as “The Shoppe”, which was formerly the Belgrave “Women’s Institute Hall”, and has since been converted into Trish’s home, office, and studio. Yes, that’s right... an art studio and gallery, as Trish is also classed as an international artist after touring in Europe in 2005. It is here; in The Shoppe that Trish operates The Word Shoppe, Black Scorpion Electronic Publishing, Wordz2Artz, and Forever Mine Studio & Gallery.
Today, Trish’s freelance and ghostwritten articles, blogs, and other internet content can be located across the internet, as Trish writes for many web design firms, as well as a vast assortment of internet businesses. She is always busy and building on her experience.
Besides freelance and ghostwriting, Trish also writes guest blogs and articles for various newsletters, magazines, and website owners who provide an opportunity for learning and growing to new and rising writers. Trish is a believer in your give back to those who give to you; therefore, she also runs a monthly publication for her community and the surrounding area she resides in.
In her art career, Trish is just beginning to paint again after a four year hiatus. Having little room in her apartment, Trish worked hard as a writer to purchase a building that would not only serve her writing needs, but her artistic needs as well. In 2009, Trish moved into the building she purchased, and started to re-establish herself in the two fields she loves the most – Art and Writing.
Now, Trish is living her life and loving it. She knows that over the next few years many great things are to come, including the release of her next book in the fall, as well as her next entry into the NaNoWriMo competition, again this November.
