I just got my first book of poetry published. My poetry is about life’s everyday struggles, love, a never-ending friendship and family, but the core of my penmanship is stemmed from a female disease that later strips me of my womanhood and spirals my life into the darkness of depression.
I currently working on a children's book and doing my own illustrations.

I started writing poetry when I was in middle school. As I got older, my writing became more personal. After I was faced with a medical condition, my life went in a tale spin. My writing was my life line.
Over the past few years I have got the opportunity to teach different types of poetry to Elementary School students and as a teacher, I get to use my creativity to teach students how to read.
Besides writing poetry, I am also very artistic.
I am currently working on illustrations to a Children's book I just finished writing. I hope one day to get it published.

Accomplishments

I finally got my book "Psychological Melody of Words" published by PublishAmerica.
I am an Administrator at the Poetry Junction International Website where I received the 2006 Poet of the Year Award. Poetry Junction International is in the process of getting the book "Touch Me" published where some of my poetry will be displayed but the biggest honor is I have designed the cover for the book.
