I have three other sisters, two older and one younger than I. Although we live in different states we keep in touch weekly.

I was born in Chicago, Illinois.  My parents have passed away... ... ...

When I was twelve I knew I wanted to be a writer, but my life had taken many twists and turns before I really became serious about writing...My mother had bought my first typewriter when I was in highschool.

Why do I write?  I enjoy writing, I appreciate other writers and in turn they motivate me.   For myself, writing has a calming effect and I find myself at peace.  I try to instill my thoughts and ideas into my poetry.  Writing gives me structure and discipline as well.

I started reading at a young age, always going to the library with my younger sister.  I love books!  Actually I have a small library and I'm way behind in my reading.  My favorites are nonfiction, biographies and mysteries.

I attended a jr. college and received an Associate Degree in Socialwork and a minor in Sociology...I did 
not use my degree, not in the cards. 

I also enjoy drawing, stamp collecting, Geology and other sciences, bike riding and baseball.

There are many fine authors here...many from different parts of the world, giving you their views from as far away as South America and Europe.

Writing has become my passion.  And yes, it is true that one has a pad of paper by them so when a poem pops up it won't get lost.

Here are some things I love about Authors Den ... .. .
I 'love' the authors, their comments and of course their
writings.  I like their setup, the tools to work with, to be able to communicate with any said author no matter where they live.

I have made many friends here... .. .
