I've been involved with our local eisteddfod for many years. For the last four years I've been running the creative writing sections and have come to know some of the participants. In 2008 they insisted that as I had been keeping a journal for a long time, they deemed me a writer and told me to go away and write poetry. So in August of that year, I had a go and I'm finding it a lot of fun.
I was brought up hearing German spoken and I've learnt Spanish, in which language I have particular interest because of connections through World Vision in South America. I love Peru and particularly, the city of Cusco. The culture and music is wonderful.
