I have been a member of The Count Dracula Society, The Los Angeles Science Fantasy Society, the Cartoon Fantasy Organization and various other genre associations, and continue to maintain an interest in science fiction, fantasy, adventure and anime. I have met and associated with notable authors such as Jerry Pournelle, David Gerrold, Larry Niven, Harlan Ellison, and others and circulate at various science fiction and literary conventions. My writing is heavily influenced by the works of Fred Saberhagen, Isaac Asimov, Chelsea Q. Yarbro and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Currently I am also a member of the Women's National Book Association and the Association of Independent Authors. I publish under the imprint Antellus and maintain a web site where I feature my books for sale.
My current projects include the Children of The Dragon series of SF/vampire fusion books, of which 8 books are published with a 9th in progress. I am chiefly interested in mythology of the vampire and developed a unique series which departs from the normal paranormal romantic theme. Instead I used the theme of the vampire as hero as an underpinning for a series of adventure novels where I explore various ideas and philosophies. I found that mainstream fiction did not fit the bill. I should explain that these are not children's books, as I have been asked about that from time to time. The word "children" applies only to the mythology of the series.
Another project is the Saxon & Hampstead Investigations, Ltd. series of mystery/paranormal detective novels which delve into themes of mythology, urban myths and other paranormal phenomena much in the same vein as The X-Files, where reality collides with oddity as seen by a pair of investigators who come from two distinctly different backgrounds.
In addition I have written and published 5 nonfiction books, 3 of which are separate editions of the same book on self-publishing and marketing. The other two are oriented toward the history of Japan and the art of the sword, and the other on the issues of tax reform and changes in the US tax code based on my many years as a tax analyst and accounting professional.
