Joe Harrington served in the US Army and in the National Guard, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant (E6). He was deployed in Advanced Infantry, Heavy Weapons. A father of five dearly-loved, adopted children, Harrington now lives with his wife Lorraine Ann outside of San Francisco, with their many animals.

Education: University of San Francisco. Licensed pilot. Licensed skipper of 100 ton vessels with passengers and cargo.

Recent publication: "Death of an Angel: the inside story of how justice prevailed in the San Francisco dog-mauling case" (2002).
