I am an aspiring writer from Australia and am currently in the process of completing my first novel.

Background Information

Born in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia I grew up always with a love of literature, something that I credit my grandfather on my mothers side.

His formal education was limited and he always credited everything he learnt in life from experience and reading! I can never remember a time where I didn't see him with his nose buried in a book when I walked into his house. This continued to his death in 1991.

My first novel is dedicated to him and his memory, in thanks for the joy I have found in reading and writing, which without him I would never have found!

I have now posted the complete PART ONE of my novel under short stories. It has been lifted from my 1st Draft...so it is unedited so I apologise for any errors which may appear. Should anyone have trouble opening the file, please let me know.

Any comments would be most welcomed and appreciated, as would any advice.
