I've been writing since childhood and was first published in the insurance industry, followed by a newspaper column in 2002, then followed by numerous magazine articles. My first mystery novel, SECOND TIME AROUND, was published in January 2009 and was nominated for a 2010 EPIC Award. My latest book, a nonfiction titled TAKING THE MYSTERY OUT OF BUSINESS, was released in January 2011.
I've been a member of MWA and RWA since 1989 and served as the president of RWA's New England Chapter from 1990-1994. I'm also a member of MWA's Rocky Mountain Chapter an Sisters in Crime. I still correspond with my 7th grade English teacher, who was the first person to encourage me to submit my work for publication.
