Background Information

Growing up in central Georgia gave Author Tommy Batchelor many outdoor adventures either in the woods or along the banks of the Flint River. “Lost on Spirit River”, is Book 1 of the Spirit River Trilogy and Tommy’s first Middle grade fiction for ages 8-12. I started as a part time writer over 10 years ago. I would place the stories in a folder and put them away in a drawer, something for my grandchildren to enjoy or laugh at years from now. I wrote the story "Sunday's with Papa T: A River Adventure" and my wife told me of a good artist that lives in the same town as I. I knew from the first pictures, I wanted Ted Clements the local school art teacher to Illustrate my book. The story is a tale of a young girl and her grandfather's day on the river. The story of bonding between child and grandparent, the day of adventure with the river,nature and the animals who live close to Papa T. Come along and explore the outdoors and maybe discover something new about yourself. great story book for all ages and family members.
