My motivations for writing stem back to my childhood when my father was burned badly in an accident. I was only six then but it took him years to recover and I found myself being shut away in my room to get away from his wide mood swings. Writing passed the time and eventually I found myself enjoying it more and more.
I would have to say my influences are rather diverse. I must have read "Little Women" at least one hundred times so Louisa May Alcott's style may be seen in my own. I also loved R. E. Howard's brutish Conan series so perhaps my taste for somewhat bloody action stems from that. Lastly, I have a sense of humor that can only be appreciated by someone of a similar background so I suppose Erma Bombeck is my last bastion of influentiality.
That last statement made no sense. Oh well. Anyway, I'm here, I'm unclear, get used to it.
