I am a workshop presenter, bilingual psychotherapist (Spanish and English), and a Professor at Energy Medicine University. My first book, Cancer As Initiation: Surviving the Fire (1994, Open Court Publishing Co.), is the autobiographical account of my holistic approach to recovery from a diagnosis of breast cancer in 1991. In addition to the standard treatments of surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy, I also used meditation, yoga, acupuncture, cranio-sacral therapy, and a host of other complementary methods to rebuild my vitality. After recovering from cancer, my clinical work took an unexpected turn as clients began to bring earthbound spirits and past life trauma into the therapy office. Since nothing in my education taught me how to deal with these issues, I searched the literature base and sought help from colleagues. Invisible Roots: How Past Life Trauma Can Liberate Your Present is the result of my phenomenological research into these unseen realms. I developed "Soul Detective" protocols to help free my clients by ministering to the wounds of past incarnations and people no longer in physical bodies. I studied depth psychology at the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland for three years and hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA. Also a Certification Trainer for the Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology (ACEP), I am an avid musician, potter, gardener, and grandmother.
