I began to write farewell recognitions for colleagues leaving our profession. If I knew something unique about them I'd use it as the hook to keep the attention of those who were listening. In this ability , I have touched many and am very proud of what I placed on empty sheets of paper. I always 'matched' the paper with the quality I chose to focus on as a writer.
I attended a private Catholic high school and college and found many of the morals and ideas that these places offered in the individuals that I meet.
I am a great fan of Beryl Singleton Bissell because her book the scent of god captured my heart- but more importantly, her kind words encouraged me to pursue my writing.
I feel that words can change the world and the art of phrasing, choosing an exact sound or metaphor can and will impact those who are curious and insightful.
Matching a persons heart with words is the ultimate present and the gift I am blessed to be able to find.
