Lori Henry is a travel writer and author based in Vancouver, Canada. She has written for WestJet's up! magazine, Travelife magazine, Reader's Digest, VIA destinations, VIA magazine (the AAA Traveler’s Companion), Gateways (Carnival Cruise Lines), FLARE, Western Living, Fodor's, Spa, British Columbia Magazine, West, USAToday.com, BCLiving.ca and Best Places Northwest. She is the Editor of Massage Matters magazine.
She was also the Editor of Beauty: You Define It magazine, an alternative youth publication that dealt with questioning mainstream beauty standards and our culture’s fixation on outward appearance. She is also a published poet, her full-length book, Silent Screams (Second Edition, 2008) has toured high schools and youth groups in the Lower Mainland.
Along with writing, Lori also does advocacy work for eating disorder awareness charities. She sat on the Advisory Committee of Jessie’s Hope Society (formerly ANAD) and was a Director of Shelley's Angels Society.
She is also a trained actor in theatre, film and television, and has had over 20 years of dance education.
