I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and began writing puppet plays in 1st Grade. This soon turned into short stories in junior high and longer pieces in high school, but it wasn't until I attended Grand Valley State University and graduated with a BA in Creative Writing and Film & Video that I pursued writing full-length novels.
Shortly after graduation, I spent 3 ½ years writing a book based on a retired high school teacher's research (released as Honor Unbound and under a different pen name). Co-authoring was not the direction I wanted to go, so I went solo after that experience and wrote my first comedy, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to My Sexual Orientation.
A Funny Thing... was released by a small press that went out of business about a year later. Fortunately, my current publisher gave it a proper release last year along with the sequel, Andy Stevenson Vs. The Lord of the Loins. I am continuing to promote both novels while editing my next comedy for publication in 2010.
Now for the fun stuff! I celebrate New Release Blu-Ray Tuesday each week when not at the day job, which pays for New Release Blu-Ray Tuesday. I enjoy traveling overseas (and buying Blu-Rays there), eating sushi, fibbing to my partner about what Blu-Rays I may or may not admit to picking up that week, making fun of people who work at Blockbuster, playing Laser Tag, attending Sci-Fi conventions and allowing the everyday goofy behavior of himself and those around me to inspire my writing.

I have been featured in a Life Journey Tele-Course and my first comedy was used in a Gay Literature class at GVSU.
I am continuing to do book signings and look for other places where I might arrange book signings, so if anybody thinks they have a venue that would be open to a couple of gay comedies, please let me know! In the meantime, I look forward to continuing down the publishing road.
