I started writing as a teenager, studied creative writing with Philip Roth and Carlos Fuentes as a college student, and finally got my MFA in creative writing in my early thirties. I'm a late bloomer; my first novel, Mahu, a mystery set in Honolulu, came out in 2005. Since then I'm gathering steam, though. I've published six books in the Mahu series: Mahu, Mahu Surfer, Mahu Fire, Mahu Vice, Mahu Men and Mahu Blood.
I love my golden retriever, Sam, so much that I've written two cozy mysteries about a guy and a golden: In Dog We Trust and The Kingdom of Dog, both available as $2.99 ebooks and as trade paperbacks as well.
I love to read and my tastes vary widely, from historical fiction to M/M romance. My romance novels are GayLife.com, Mi Amor, and The Guardian Angel of South Beach. I also write the "Have Body, Will Guard" series of M/M adventure romances: Three Wrong Turns in the Desert, Dancing with the Tide and Teach Me Tonight.
I have edited a collection of essays about guys and their dogs, called Paws and Reflect, as well as four erotica anthologies: Hard Hats, Surfer Boys, Skater Boys, and The Handsome Prince.
