I read Oz books to my children until there weren't any left. My daughter, in particular, would ask questions about the nature of magic in Oz that needed to be answered. In answering them, I began to write my own sequels to the works of L. Frank Baum. I was always impressed with the strength of the characterizations of woman by Baum and later learned that he was the son-in-law of Matilda Gage, one of the leaders of the woman's movement in the early 20th century.
My goal is to tell a grand story, to tie up loose ends regarding the nature of Oz and to elaborate on the personalities of key individuals, such as Dorothy, to show their strength of character.
I am also a songwriter with LPs released in the 70s. I have few fans, but they seem to be spread around the world and continue to buy my music. My albums are "Am I Really Here All Alone?" and "Diamond Love & Other Realities".
