My first book 'Re-entry' for young people was published in 1995. Since then I have had 15 books published from picture books to YA novels. Many of them are influenced by my years spent in Pakistan as an aid worker with my young family. These books include 'Soraya the Storyteller', 'Borderland', 'Mustara', & 'Yardil'. Others have a Cornish influence as I am a fourth generation Cornish descendant and a Bard of Cornwall. These books include 'Zenna Dare', 'Wolfchild' 'Sailmaker', 'Across the Creek', and 'The Last Virgin in Year 10'. I enjoy other cultures eg Afghan, Pakistani, Arabian, all things Cornish, cats, and music. I have also written novels about ADHD in 'The Keeper' ,and Alzheimer's in 'A kiss in Every Wave'. I believe writing for children is an art form that adults as well as children can enjoy. I have a PhD in Creative Writing from the University of Adelaide and I teach Writing for Children at Tabor Adelaide.
