Growing up with eight siblings gave me much material to mine in later years. The connection between people and why they do the things they do, has always intriqued me. So do setting's, sunset's, flower's, and certainly a strong tall tale. If you wanted to get a word in edgewise around our house, you had to speak up. And make yourself entertaining!
Our land bordered the Mark Twain National Forest, which meant we were kicked out the door when school wasn't in session and left to our imagination on two-hundred acres of pure nature. Must be why I'm so passionate about the environment.
Pure passion for the written word has always been my motivation to write. If it ever changes, I'll hang my hat.

My novel, Jack Rabbit Moon, recently won Honorable Mention-mainstream fiction category-in the Writer's Digest 2008 International Self-Published Book Awards.

I've recently finished a second book and will be attending the Hawaii Writer's Retreat in a few days.
