A Life Adventure of Joy, Strength, Sacrifice and Faith. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes poignant. Tatie Wee lives life with gusto!

Background Information

I always enjoyed writing. An English teacher inspired me to continue writing poetry and short stories. It wasn't until after my husband died that I really needed a goal and something to occupy my mind. This is when I wrote my memoirs, "Up A Tree With Tatie Wee".

Additional Information

Current Review "Tatie Wee--not a name you hear of everyday. Yet for young Kathryn Fisher, that was as close as she got to pronouncing her name. This nickname stuck and the uniqueness and joy associated with it charterized the rest of Fisher's life. Fisher, a 72 year old widow and long-time Kernersville resident joined the ranks of a publisher writer with her first book Up A Tree With Tatie Wee. The book, an autobiographical chronicle of her life, was published by Alliance Books and is now in its second printing. But this chronicle is not just a memoir; It's a slice of history, a smidgen of advice on what's important in life and an invitation to sit back and really evaluate everything that society says if true. In Tatie Wee, the reader experiences the protagonist's life without a father, the burdens of being a single mother, the failed marriages, the trials of caring for a mother with Alzheimer's and the final love of her life--Art Fisher. And there are antics, crazy folk, and the kindness of strangers that makes such an impact--." Eileen Kerr, Kerr Associates, Kernersville News. Other comments: "Makes the reader care about her. Whew what a life!" Carole Fox, writer, High Point Enterprise, High Point, NC "Fresh, not contrived. It's like pulling a peach straight from the branch and biting into it." Diane Jakubsen, editor, Greensboro News and Record, High Point, NC "If I didn't know you I'd think it was fiction." Joe Bruno, poet and journilist, Plattsburgh, NY
