Some of the greatest women in my life come from my family, my mother, my grandmother, and great grandmother. These were traditional women, strong and loving. I adopted my grandmother's first and middle name as my pen name, I threw in the initial "E" for something extra. Many often wonder why I chose to use someone else's name rather than my own. Well, the story of my short-lived marriage to a con-artist and abuser became a risk factor to the publishing house. I chose to chronicle details of my marriage that were rather ugly. It almost seemed untrue, but every line is true.
I chose to write this book in the first person so that the reader would be able to get a sense of what I went through at that very moment. Many readers have told me personally that they were not able to put the book down. In fact many have read the book in just a few hours. I wanted to let women know of all races and religions that freedom from abuse is possible.
I am a native Detroiter and single mother of one. I love to dance, art, broadway shows, I love to volunteer at my church and spending time with family.
