Bev Walton-Porter's work has appeared in numerous publications, both online and offline, since she began freelance writing full-time in May 1997. Her first piece was published in 1982 before the age of 18.
Bev's section on online promotion appears in book "Writer's Online Marketplace" (Writer's Digest Books), edited by Debbie Ridpath Ohi. She is also a co-author of "The Complete Writer: A Guide to Tapping Your Full Potential," published by Red Engine Press in August 2005. Bev was a featured freelancer in "Going Solo: How to Survive and Thrive as a Freelancer" by Bobbi Linkemer.
Her first solo book, "Sun Signs for Writers," was published by F & W Publications, Inc. on August 23, 2006. Her first fiction book, "Mending Fences," was released September 6, 2006 by Whiskey Creek Press. Her latest book, "Hidden Fire," was published by Whiskey Creek Press June 15, 2009.
In addition to penning articles and books, she teaches online writing courses and publishes Scribe & Quill, an award-winning e-zine for writers. She is a member of the Authors Guild and Association Transcommunication (ATransC).
A confirmed workaholic who is nocturnal by nature, she haunts coffeehouses and bookstores with her talented and beloved husband, Paulzuzu. Bev prefers to keep vampire's hours and hears the call of the Muse in dark of night.
Her favorite author is the inimitable Stephen King. Bev enjoys reading, cinema, music, World of Warcraft and paranormal investigation.
