In 1988 in Othello Washington, I was Rodeo Queen, showed horses and cattle in 4-H, FFA, and other local circuit shows. I received the My American Farmer Award in FFA (this is the highest honor in FFA)
I am also a certified first responder and licensed Equine Massage Therapist.
As far as my businesses go, I owned and ran TLC Cleaning for over 10 years and was very successful. However, due to life changes, I now run Tan Yer Hide and Tone it too! I am also a member of the Mills County Chamber of Commerce.
I give thanks to our Lord for him allowing us to write this book and share it with others!
I am a mom and darned proud of it! My family keeps me going and supports me in anything I do.
I grew up in the farming and ranching family… riding horses almost every day, with friends or family, making up games as we went along. Rarely did I tell my parents that I was bored, knowing if I had, I would have been put to work. LOL!
We had no video games or cell phones, but we did have walkie-talkies and did try to talk to the truckers on them.
This being said, I believe that having all been kids and do remember what it is like. I have been through my share of good times and bad. (That is for another book!).
I was raised in a small town and love the country. I am a mom, first! I feel blessed to have two beautiful daughters…Laurel is thirteen and Taylor is six. They are completely different kids, and I am very thankful for that. I enjoy taking pictures of them in all the activities and horseback riding that they do!
I am a business owner, as well. I have run several successful businesses and love working.
My family and I attend the local cowboy church and love the atmosphere. It feels so at home.
Tom and I, together with our children, live in Texas, where we take pleasure in our horses and other animals. Tom and I enjoy the farming and ranching life!
