I'm a Peruvian immigrant, with a background in journalism and advertising. I've been involved and writing about immigrants since 1993. This is my first novel in Spanish. What is interesting about Nos Vemos En Purgatorio (I'll See You In Purgatory) is that the story resembles the experiences of so many as they come to the United States. The novel is ultimately about personal responsibility and how we are in charge of our destiny, no matter how badly we believe we are being treated.

I have two B.A's in communications and several awards for my work with the community. In 1996 I published a non-fiction: "Living in a Double World: A Practical Guided Tour Through The Immigration Experience". I'm revising and will publish a second edition in 2010.
