An avid reader, Joan has read over 10,000 books and drew upon her knowledge in several areas to create and teach her own college course "Psychology for Artists" at the College of Visual Arts in St. Paul, Minnesota. An artist and former psychotherapist in private practice, Joan studied art at a private art college in Florence, Italy and received her M.A. in Counseling Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago.
