Darren completed three years of Bible School at the “School of Prophets,” in Birmingham, England and served for nine years in the local church in various positions. He entered full time ministry when he started the first of many churches in 1995, at the age of 23. Since that time Darren has started many other new, successful churches in England, Nigeria and currently in Brewer, Maine USA where he pastors and lives with his wife, Amanda, and their children. (www.thesanctuarychurch.us) During the early years in ministry, Darren recognized that the church often settled for a, “This will do” attitude, which created a standard that’s second best to many other organizations. He also desired to see the individuals in the church discover their gifts and encouraged the church to work more as a team rather than being reliant on one man or woman running the show. With this in mind, Darren drew on his experience as a Bible School Lecturer to create a new school called, The Apostolic School of Ministry. This new two-year course was designed to equip the church with quality leaders and ministers who were grounded, both in theology and the practical aspects of ministry. The school was foundational in rising up many leaders and ministers for local churches, and in starting other new churches. The Apostolic School of Ministry was also founded in Nigeria where many other new churches have begun as a result of its success.
