Background
Information

Author, outdoor enthusiast, and environmental professional. The bicyling adventures in Stories of the Road are based upon my two cross-country bicycle trips during the 1970s and experiences bicycle-commuting and serving as a member of a volunteer bicycle patrol, along with years of telling stories around campfires.
I wrote Stories of the Road to encourage people to get outdoors and enjoy this beautiful planet; and, in doing so, to think about whether there might be some way to stand in better relation to the earth and its inhabitants, and to do so with hope and resilience. Also, I just wanted to have some fun.
I hope that you enjoy my book and the related resources offered on my book website, author's blog, and FaceBook page.
