I started to write as early as nine, during my third grade in elementary. I discovered then that writing is more than just a want for me, it is a passion. I find bliss when I put pen to paper... the experience is liberating.
Basically, I write for newsletters. As a student, I served on various school organs. I write news and features but my favorite are editorials. I served as an editor for almost four years. The good thing about writing for school organs is that you write for the same people-same readers. When you write it's good that you know to whom you write for.
As one ages, more realizations come. I found out that it's more exciting to write beyond the grounds of newspaper. There is more freedom when you just write and free from any structure. Although, I still write for newspapers because that's already part of me, I'm more expressive now in settling what to write. May they be realizations, a week-long experience, etc.- I WRITE.
I put a minute responsibility to my pen (just little)... when I write, I let myself remember why I'm here on earth. It is my desire to always write for the glory and fame of the greatest Writer of all times... my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
