I love to read , write and and to travel. The ideal combination is to become a travel writer, a fresh career I undertook at the age of 62, after decades of working as an international attorney. However, I also love to let my imagination run riot and to devise entertaining plots for romantic suspense novels, always set against an exotic or enticing background.
That's how my first novel, "Sweet Revenge" came into being. Combing literature and travel is an ambition which I can fulfill writing for literary traveler. Shorter pieces find a home on ITKT.
My recent trip to Galicia, the norther province of spain is reflected in a short travel guide.
A travelogue with the title "In Search of Morina" is in the making as well as another romantic suspense novel with the title "Death in the fast Lane."
I'm also the author of 73 articles, most of them about travel on www.suite101. I speak four languages and am a health freak and vegetarian, so you will find something about that in one of my 100 artcles on www.brighthub.com.
People who travel as much as I do, need to keep fit. I do so by swimming 30 lengths every day and walking at a good clip for one hour. Before I broke my shoulder, I practised kick boxing and have three belts.
I'm just very busy reading the interesting travel letters of Frances Calderon de la Barca, which will form part of an artcle which I am writing for literary traveler.
Read the latest review for Sweet Revenge on ezine.
My next novel "Death in the Fast Lane" is well under way. Expect a tale of intrigue, flaming ambition and deception, set in the world of Formula 1 racing where, indeed, death constantly lurks in the fast lane.
Being a single woman who likes to travel the world, I have started my new blog, writitng down my experiences and giving helpful tips and advice to women in the same position. Please visit me here. I hope, you enjoy the pictures too.
There is a lot of "writing food" coming up for my single woman travel blog, as I have just come back from a 7 day cruise..a single woman testing out life on a 3500 passenger cruise ship! Follow my adventures on blogspot.
I'm proud to say that a travel article of mine has just been accepted by a great magazine, travel with a challenge.
It will be a few months before it is published though. For everybody whi si of "a certain age" and lives the travel that magazine is a must read.
