Information services has been my career choice. I am a retired librarian, who is now an editor and freelance writer. In January, 2011, I opened a new editorial and writing business in Fountain Hills called All Things Editorial. Also, I am a principal with The Path to Publication Group, a writing and publishing cooperative headquartered in Fountain Hills.
I have been an AZDP State Committee Member since 2010. I am Co-Chair of the Disabilities Caucus, a member of the Election Integrity Committee and the LGBT Caucus. I am a precinct Committee person and I serve as 2nd Vice Chair of Legislative District 23 (8). I currently serve as a 1st Co-Vice Chair of Democracy for America – Maricopa County and am on the Steering Committee for Progressive Democrats of America.
I earned a B.A. degree in English Education at Northland College, Ashland, Wisconsin, a Masters in Librarianship at the University of Washington, Seattle, Washington and a Masters in Interdisciplinary Studies from Oregon State University. I’ve worked as a science librarian at US Environmental Protection Agency, National Water Quality Laboratory in Duluth, MN, as Oceanography/Zoology librarian at Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR, as Project Manager of the Fish and Wildlife Reference Service in Rockville, MD and Information Services Division Manager at the Maxima Corporation, Lanham, MD.
I am a former editor of The Progressive Fish-Culturist, Editor-in-Chief of the Intermountain Journal of Science, and currently edit the World Aquaculture magazine. My articles are published in: Hatchery International, Aquaculture Magazine, Northern Aquaculture and Fish Farming News.
Additionally, I am the Editor-in-Chief of the new literary magazine published in Fountain Hills, THE PATH. I’ve also authored a children’s book about multiple sclerosis, Mom’s Story, a Child Learns about MS, which is in its third year of sales.
