I've always liked to write and did so in company and organizational publications. But, my sense of humor could best be described as "out there". I spent the majority of my work life with a major medical products company. In addition, I've been an EMT, Paramedic, rescue tech, and police officer.
I was born and raised in small towns in west Texas. There was mostly blowing sand, mesquite and cactus but I loved it there. The pace of life was slow but kids and old men seem to thrive on that. I hadn't seen much of the ouside world until I joined the Air Force and they sent me to...where else? Texas. However, the company where I spent the bulk of my working life sent me to most of the United States over the years.
Once I achieved adulthood (which was a minor miracle), I tried to be a helper and not a hurter. Just don't disturb the grave-like mound in the back yard. What can I say? Stuff happens.
