I think every creative person - whether they specialize in fine art, graphic design or writing - has a moment when they are younger where they struggle with where they should go in life. Should they CREATE as they are meant to? Or should they do the norm and work a 9-5 job when in reality they WANT to create, they NEED to create, they CRAVE it. Well, that is kind of how I started out...
Growing up I would draw, write poetry, create stories. I have for as long as I can remember. I struggled for a while working at places I didn't care for at all, changed my mind when it came to my career path a million times. Then one day I decided to submit my stuff to a publisher -- and now I have three books published and one more that will be released early 2010. Two of these books are internationally sold.
I also wrote my first screenplay at the age of 20, and have had three of my films produced and many more on the way.
Many things inspire me on a daily basis, but what I want to do the most with my writing - regardless if published or on film - I want to make a difference in someones life... make a difference in this world. I want to grab the attention of my readers/audience and pull them in. I want them to FEEL everything. Behind everything I write, there is a meaning... even if it's hidden.
