I was always that kid who had his head in the books. Which worked out great for me because it's kind of hard to punish a kid who didn't mind staying in the house or not playing my video games if I had a good book handy, and well lets face it no parent is going to tell their kid not to read.LOL.To this day I love reading a good fiction (doesn't matter what type) novel. I've recently found that when going to libraries to get new books by black authors, especially males, that I've read a great deal of those available and usually the ones I haven't were those that didn't grab my attention.
I believe that if you recognize a problem or shortcoming and you do nothing to make things better then you give up all rights to ever complain about it . I decided that since I feel that the collections out there can use a little padding that I would help to make more options and titles for the readers out there. I've always had ideas that I felt were fresh and original and have started plenty of stories only to not finish them. I'm hoping that by putting my work out there for others to read and offer feedback on that it will act as motivation to continue.
I can't think of any major influences as far as my writing goes, but authors that I have enjoyed reading include Stephen King, James Patterson, E. Lynn Harris, Tananarive Due the list goes on and on. The first story that I want to contribute to the site is a work in progress, the first from a collection of short stories that I hope to have completed some time in the near future. I hope that it catches your attention and any questions or feedback would be greatly appreciated.
