T.E. Watson has been an award winning children's author,journalist,and wildlife photographer for the last 30 years!
Being awarded his first journalistic acheivement award at the age of 17 by UPI for sports writing,"The Young Journalists Award", then going on to write his first book at the age of 22, under a pen name, he then persued a college career and several degrees. Journalism-Radio and Television, were a natural for him. Photography acted as a sideline but landed him several Wildlife Photography gigs, which won him national accliam for his photography of whales.
Several years after, he persued the thing he loved best, Teaching. Being a teacher brought him much joy and new vision for story lines. He has written over 48 children's books(not all have been published yet),one of which" I Wanna Iguana" has won the award for Finalist as Children's Picture Book of The Year, fourth place is not bad for his first book in 20 years.
His newest book The Monster In The Mailbox has been recently nominated for The Picture Book of the Year for 2002, and has won critical aclaim. He is currently writing a series of Scottish and Irish books for children. He is also a member of the SCBWI, and The British Writers Fellowship.
