I was born in Sunbury, Pennsylvania on January 1, 1985. I moved all around Pennsylvania as a child and later moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida with my aunt when my mother was diagnosed with leukemia. I have a younger brother who is my best friend, Brandon. My father died when I was 15, which would be the fuel behind my writing as I tried to find ways to deal with my own emotion. I attended college at Bloomsburg University and finished with a Bachelors at Western Kentucky University.
My writing influence comes from my own personal experiences and seeing what others go through as well. Music has also played a big role in my writing. People ask what books I like to read or poetry I like that would influence how or what I write but music has been more of an influence than anything else.
My first book Vampire Poetry explores more of the pain and struggle in life. It's a little darker but it's honest emotion that keeps your attention.
Beautifully Broken is more of a healing process. Looking at what you've been through and how you've felt and seeing how it has made you stronger and shaped you into the person you are today.
Both books emphasize strong human emotion, whether it be love, heartbreak or life's confusion, it's very much down to earth. I created these books to share a talent of course, but mostly to let people who feel any of these things know that they are not alone and to help give words to their feelings. We're all broken but that's what makes us unique and beautiful.
