Raised in the Canadian Rockies, Juanita chose to spend her time in libraries rather than on the ski hill. The Hardy Boys and the Narnia series were the beginning influences in her later, writing life.
Enjoyment of solving puzzles lead her to create Masterpiece Mysterys in the early 1990s; a company that produced corporate murder mystery entertainment, in western Canada, for nearly twenty years. Fair play mysteries, in which all the necessary clues were presented to solve the mystery, were vital to Juanita's scripts. The performances were well praised, lively entertainment.
Certainty that mysterious phenomena must be more than allegorical, influenced Juanita's interest in unexplained events. Her first published book Almanac of the Infamous, the Incredible and the Ignored was released in October 2009 by Weiser Books.
A few of Juanita's favorite authors are: Donald Westlake, J.D. Robb, Janet Evanovich, Charles Fort, Colin Wilson, William Corliss and many, many others.
