I was first published when I was nine years old and had a little story in Sunbeams, a children's mag put out by the Sydney Sunday Sun. I also read some of my work on radio stations 2SM and 2GB in Sydney.
I have written nine novelettes for teenagers who were classed as "reluctant readers". A school librarian told me that my books were always being stolen. At the time I had a houseful of teenagers and their friends so I really knew what I was writing about.
Although I write fiction, I don't have a great deal of imagination. I simply embellish things that I know have happened either in my own life or that of my friends.
For some years I have been helping to produce the Nimbin News magazine and, at present, I am editor of the literary magazine Beyond the Rainbow.
I am working on a trilogy that traces the blossoming of a woman's sexuality from childhood, through to teenage guilt and then thirty years of faithful marriage until walking out to find her freedom and independence. The first book Brothers? Uncles! Sister? Aunt! was published in 2002.
The second book The Missus has just been published by Xlibris and is availble from them or Amazon.
