I started writing in grade school. When I was ten-years-old, I won an essay contest about Girl Scouting and it was printed in the local newspaper. I worked on the high school newspaper and yearbook. When I attended Lindenwood University under the adult excellerated program, all my classes were graded on my writing. Poems and story plots seem to jump in my head in the middle of the night or when I'm trying to go to sleep, so many times my husband wakes up and finds me at the keyboard. I had several short stories published in national magazines, worked as a reporter for a newpaper for several years, wrote a weekly column for ten years, and wrote Pictorial History of St. Charles County Area published by Curtis Media Corp. Dallas, Texas, all before retiring. I am currently living my life time goal of writing novels, which proves, age doesn't diminish a creative mind.
