I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Not too long ago, I decided it was I wanted to do with my life. I've written three novels and over thirty short stories, and have appeared at conventions and book-signing events for the past three years. My favorite genres are science fiction, contemporary fantasy and horror, specifically character-driven stories that aim to broaden the reader's imagination.
Most of my short stories are rooted in a specific idea, be it a high concept or simply an image that got stuck in my head. The joy in it is making believable characters who will take the ride in uncovering this idea and expanding it until it reaches its natural conclusion.
I have a love for television and film; one of my goals is to create and write a drama series for network television. In addition to my fiction writing, I do television, movie, and graphic novel reviews and features for various publications.
My major influences are:
Stephen King, John Wyndham, Brian K. Vaughn, Richard Matheson, Rod Serling, Joss Whedon, Robert Heinlen, Douglas Adams and Kurt Vonnegut
