As a professional accountant and business consultant the reputation for having success is an important element in continuing to develop new business clients. Fortunately, throughout my career I've had numerous business deals go well. Further, my client base has grown because of the sound business advice that I have been able to offer through my education and experience.
But my education and experience were not enough to save me from one bad business deal. In fact, the company became so out of control I was inspired to write the book, A Tale of a Business Failure.
But I wasn't so quick to have it published. In fact, the completed manuscript sat in a desk drawer for a couple of years before I gained the courage to release the story. It was the sour economy that threatened many of my client's businesses that made me think twice about hiding the story. There were too many lessons that could help others, so I realized the story must be told.
So I completed the book and the rest is history. I have shared the most intimate details of the greatest fight I have ever known as an entrepreneur.
