Background Information

As an historian with a bachelors of science, I revel in finding out what makes society tick, the things that influence cultures, how families interact, why people do what they do. I collect stories from history, from my neighbors, from the news media and ask "what if?"

What if that message cut into the neighbors tree meant more than a childhood romance? What happened to those people? What if one of them went to seek his fortune and returned to find his true love didn't wait? And a mystery was born - The Gold Standard.

What if someone felt so guilty of being afraid to help another that they ran away? Only, like a nightmare, they ran into the same situation? What kind of person would relive her deepest fears in order to redeem herself? The story of a mysterious illness and the only one who could help him came from a family medical mystery - Healing Grace.

What happens to all those people who disappear? Why can an older man and a much younger woman be acceptable in society more than younger men and older women? How far would someone go to prove love? These issues came together in Meander Scar.
