I have been drawn to writing since I was a child but somehow until just the last few years I've never found the opportunity or the ambition to try it. About 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus and suddenly found myself with a lot of time on my hands so I began writing short articles and sermons. My only real problem with writing is that I get a lot of what most authors call "writers block" but what those of us with Lupus call "brain fog". Whatever you call it when it hits I couldn't write my own name and be sure it was spelled correctly so I don't write during those times. As a result my authoring is somewhat sporadic but even so it is the one thing I truly love to do. The major influences in my life have been my father who always encouraged and supported me no matter what I wanted to do, my dear husband Ken who does the same and the President of the Christian College I attended who was also one of my Professors. I once spent 20 minutes in his office complaining about all the things I felt I needed or wanted to do and about how none of them were getting done. At the end of my pity party Dr. Wess Pinkham looked me square in the eye and said, "just do it!", at which point he got up and left the room. It was then that I decided I wanted to grow up to be just like him.

My greatest achievements are staying married to the same man for almost 32 years, graduating from a Bible college program at the age of 50 and becoming an ordained minister. I could not have done any of this without Gods help and my faith and trust in Him.

Most if not all the articles I've written recently have been directly related to Christianity or Church matters. The titles of some of these are: Christians and Christianity, More Questions Than Answers?, Why Are They Always Asking For Money?, and Women Of The Bible Series (Eve,Deborah). I intend to contine with my Christian writing but I feel it's now time for me to step out of my box and try something else. Stay tuned!!
