AJ Davidson is an Ulster writer, living a seven iron from the Northern/Republic of Ireland border. He is a full time writer and proud owner of a Harrier hound.

Background Information

AJ Davidson's first two books were non-fiction commissions from Gill & Macmillan. Kidnapped was a best seller and went to reprint in record time. Defamed! was a critical success, helping to direct a spotlight at Ireland's creaking libel laws.

Fiction being his first love, AJ Davidson turned to writing a series of crime mysteries, each book dealing with a different crime - murder, arson, blackmail, kidnapping etc.

His favourite motivation is to make his protagonist an unlikely hero, often a criminal. There is much more scope in giving your central character a dark side. The writer has to work that bit harder to generate empathy in the reader.

Birth Place
Armagh,  Ireland
Accomplishments

AJ Davidson is a qualified Social Anthropologist.

Additional Information

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Queen Elizabeth's secret maiden voyage, AJ Davidson has written a fictional thriller based round the events of March 1940, telling how the Germans failed to destroy the world's largest liner. The book suggests a possible link to the liner's destruction 32 years later in Hong Kong harbor.
