Herman K. Beaber was an American WWII POW in Los Banos Philippines . He was a missionary in the Philippines when WWII broke out. After the Japanese took over he became a civilian POW. He wrote a powerful and telling diary during these times which is a compelling story of his fight to stay alive during times harder than many today could imagine. Reading this work will take you back to times that many want to forget.
